Tourism in Tambo is a megaproject sponsored by USAID, which utilizes sustainable tourism to empower sustainable tourism initiatives in Tambo, one of the first communities in Colombia that decided to leave behind cocaine crops production, so as to use sustainable tourism as a way to reshape their social and economic development. We train members of the community to equip them with english, entrepreneurship, project management and sustainable tourism development skills, creating new socio-economic opportunities for more than 500 people.
